Beatrix Ruf (directeur Stedelijk Museum) rechts en Ruth Mackenzie (artistiek directeur Holland Festival) geven in aanwezigheid van Rirkrit Tiravanija een introductie op het kunstwerk. Daarnaast heeft de kunstenaar voor de opening een verrassing voorbereid. Het uitgangspunt van Rirkrit Tiravanija’s (1961) werk is sociale interactie. Met Tomorrow is the Question nodigt hij het publiek met een serie hoogglanzende stalen pingpongtafels uit voor een potje tafeltennis. De kunstenaar exposeerde over de hele wereld. Met Tomorrow is the Question (2015) – dat eerder te zien was in o.a. Moskou en Arles – maakt hij zijn debuut in Amsterdam. De installatie is van 4 t/m 26 juni 2016 te zien op het Museumplein.

The artist for the opening has prepared a surprise.The premise of Rirkrit Tiravanija’s (1961) work is social interaction. With Tomorrow is the Question, he invites the audience with a series of high gloss steel ping pong tables for table tennis.The artist has exhibited all over the world. With Tomorrow is the Question (2015) – which was previously seen in Moscow, among others and Arles – he makes his debut in Amsterdam.The installation can be seen from 4 t / m June 26, 2016 at the Museumplein.
